Just a small clarification. Both Amazon and Walmart use different methods to extract as much surplus value as possible. Walmart pays wages so low that they have been caught giving Medicaid forms to new employees. However, Amazon pays slightly higher wages (e.g. $15/hr) but uses Taylorism, aka Scientific Management, to extract as much labor as possible from an employee per hour. (https://www.britannica.com/science/Taylorism) This means high speed repetitive motions, impossible quotas, peeing in bottles, and flexible schedules. Both are evil and destroy employees through wear and tear and neglect of their biological needs, but in slightly different ways. I feel it's important to understand the difference, because when people accuse Amazon of abusive wages, Amazon can gleefully point out that they pay people what the left claims they should and appear to win the argument.
